**Job Title**
ServiceNow Engineer
**Role Summary**
Contract ServiceNow Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, customizing, and maintaining the ServiceNow platform to support enterprise business processes, with a focus on HR Service Delivery (HRSD).
**Expectations**
- 6‑month contract; IR35 compliant, UK‑based, remote.
- Deliver high‑quality ServiceNow solutions, meet sprint commitments, and maintain platform stability.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, configure, and deploy ServiceNow applications and modules aligned with business requirements.
- Develop and maintain workflows, business rules, client/server scripts, UI policies, UI actions, UI policies, and integrations using REST/SOAP, MID Server, and third‑party connectors.
- Ensure platform stability: monitor deployments, resolve incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root‑cause analysis.
- Enforce ServiceNow development standards, governance, and security controls.
- Integrate ServiceNow with external systems (e.g., Workday, other HR vendors).
- Participate in Agile ceremonies: backlog refinement, estimation, sprint planning, review, and retrospectives.
- Develop Service Portal/Employee Centre features using HTML, CSS, AngularJS, jQuery, and portal widget customization.
- Build automated HR processes and case lifecycles using Workflow Designer.
**Required Skills**
- Depth of ServiceNow configuration and customization (forms, tables, UI policies, business rules, ACLs, client/server scripts).
- Strong JavaScript (client and server) scripting capabilities.
- Experience designing and developing Service Portal/Employee Centre components (HTML, CSS, AngularJS, jQuery).
- Proficiency with ServiceNow Workflow Designer for automated HR processes and case lifecycles.
- Knowledge of HRSD concepts: HR case management, case types, templates, services, lifecycle events, employee centre UX design.
- Integration experience with Workday and other HR/enterprise systems via REST/SOAP, MID Server, and third‑party connectors.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and sprint ceremonies.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR equivalent professional experience.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or higher certification preferred.
