Staff Engineer, Enterprise Systems Architect
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, strategy, and governance of enterprise technology architecture, aligning IT systems with business goals and emerging AI capabilities. Serve as the bridge between executive strategy, business stakeholders, and technical teams, ensuring secure, scalable, and interoperable solutions across the organization.
**Expectations**
- Own the long‑term technology roadmap and vision.
- Translate complex technical concepts into business value for executives and stakeholders.
- Mentor and elevate engineering and security teams through best‑practice adoption and knowledge sharing.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain a forward‑looking enterprise technology roadmap that incorporates AI, cloud, and security trends.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and platforms to improve operational efficiency and product innovation.
- Architect large‑scale, secure, and highly available infrastructure, networks, and application landscapes.
- Define and enforce architectural standards, governance policies, and a change advisory board, including ethical AI usage guidelines.
- Collaborate with executive leaders, product managers, security teams, and engineering staff to capture requirements and deliver aligned solutions.
- Communicate architecture decisions and progress to technical and non‑technical audiences, ensuring transparency and stakeholder buy‑in.
**Required Skills**
- Extensive experience designing and managing complex enterprise IT systems.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/CI‑CD pipelines.
- Proven expertise in security architecture, risk management, and secure‑by‑design principles.
- Deep understanding of AI strategy, product integration, and emerging AI tools.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Familiarity with productivity & collaboration stacks (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Jira).
- Experience mentoring engineering teams and driving technical excellence.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
- Enterprise architecture or security certifications (TOGAF, CBAP, AWS/Azure Architect, CISSP, CCSP, etc.) preferred but not mandatory.
