Job Description
Job Title: Data Protection and Privacy Analyst Role Summary: Support the Data Protection and Privacy Manager by managing the Subject Access Request (SAR) process, handling privacy-related inquiries, assisting with impact assessments, and maintaining processing records. Expactations: Deliver SARs and related tasks accurately within regulatory deadlines, maintain high quality responses to privacy queries, and contribute to continuous improvement of privacy practices. Key Responsibilities - Process and respond to Subject Access Requests in a timely, compliant manner. - Address privacy complaints, questions, and requests, escalating as required. - Support data breach and cybersecurity incident escalation procedures. - Assist in conducting Privacy Threshold Assessments (PTAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs). - Help develop and update privacy training materials and SharePoint content. - Catalogue and review Records of Processing Activities (RoPA). Required Skills - Strong analytical and detail‑oriented work style. - Excellent written communication skills. - Ability to evaluate and process requests accurately. - Self‑starter who meets deadlines consistently. - Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (advantage). - Customer service or complaints handling experience beneficial, but not mandatory. Required Education & Certifications - Minimum A‑levels or equivalent; relevant work‑based experience acceptable. - No mandatory UK GDPR or related certifications required (preferred).
