**Job title**
Head of DevOps and Cloud Engineering
**Role summary**
Lead the firm’s cloud and automation strategy, defining vision, strategy, and governance for a hybrid multi‑cloud environment (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, etc.). Build and mentor a high‑performing platform engineering team, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security while collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver resilient infrastructure and modern engineering practices.

**Key responsibilities**
1. **Vision & strategy** – Define multi‑cloud roadmap, infrastructure modernization, and automation initiatives.
2. **Team leadership** – Recruit, mentor, and develop a platform engineering team; create career paths and succession plans.
3. **Platform governance** – Set standards for IaC, CI/CD, observability, and automation; enforce security, regulatory, and audit requirements in partnership with Cybersecurity and Compliance.
4. **Database & data platforms** – Oversee DBA functions, ensuring reliability and performance across enterprise databases; own Snowflake and other data platforms, supporting ETL/ELT processes and analytics integration.
5. **Cross‑functional collaboration** – Partner with Software Development, Data, and Product teams to align infrastructure with business needs; advise senior leadership on cloud adoption, DevOps maturity, and cost optimization.
6. **Operational excellence** – Design and operate resilient multi‑cloud infrastructure, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and monitoring systems.
7. **Innovation & continuous improvement** – Evaluate and adopt emerging cloud, automation, and DevOps technologies; enhance developer experience through self‑service and standardization.
**Required skills**
• Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, and Snowflake (or equivalent).
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Container orchestration (Kubernetes) and observability/monitoring technologies.
• Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and audit frameworks.
• Database administration experience (SQL/NoSQL, Snowflake).
• Leadership and people‑management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
**Required education & certifications**
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Industry certifications are a plus: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or equivalent.
