Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer (Development Background)
Role Summary: Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability for a fintech SaaS platform. Drive developer productivity, mentor junior engineers, and shape DevOps practices across product and operations teams.
Expectations: • Minimum 5 years of DevOps or software engineering experience in a large organization. • Proven track record of delivering production-ready containerized applications. • Strong mentor, communicator, and collaborator able to influence architecture and process decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product teams to model and implement solutions that accelerate the software development lifecycle.
- Partner with developers to select and evolve developer-centric tools, practices, and automation.
- Build, maintain, and evolve CI/CD pipelines for efficient code integration, testing, and deployment in cloud or on‑prem environments.
- Develop automation scripts and utilities in Go, Python, Bash, or C#.
- Design and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.) to ensure production reliability.
- Participate in architecture discussions with a DevOps perspective to guarantee scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Linux-based systems, Kubernetes clusters, Istio service mesh, and application layers for high availability and performance.
- Evaluate platform performance, scalability, and cost, recommending optimization opportunities.
- Mentor junior engineers and produce documentation, workshops, and code reviews.
Required Skills
- Cept Ed: Proficiency in Linux system administration, networking protocols, and container technologies.
- Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Advanced programming in Go, Python, or C#.
- Hands‑on CI/CD experience (Git, Concourse, Nexus, SonarQube).
- Infrastructure-as-code expertise (Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
- Monitoring & logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Security best practices in DevOps & cloud environments.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) preferred.
