Bid Finance Leader (Financial Modelling)
**Role Summary**
Lead the development and quality assurance of financial components of bid responses for public transport operation and maintenance contracts, including domestic and international tenders. Own the creation, validation, and presentation of financial models, costings, and supporting documentation, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, risk management, and partnership structures.
**Expectations**
- Deliver accurate, robust financial deliverables within tight submission deadlines.
- Collaborate across technical, marketing, IT, HR, and finance functions to integrate inputs and challenge assumptions.
- Represent finance to senior governance bodies, providing clear interpretations of model results.
- Continuously improve bidding processes through tools, methodologies, and emerging technologies.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Build and maintain complex financial models for tenders, integrating data from multiple functional areas.
- Lead scenario analysis (best‑case, worst‑case) to assess contract viability and sensitivity.
- Produce financial memoranda, cost sheets, hypothesis decks, and other required outputs.
- Present findings to senior management and bid leaders, facilitating consensus.
- Manage finance contributors (tax, treasury, financing) and ensure their inputs are accurately reflected.
- Handle tenders in complex contractual settings (PPP, partnership models) across multiple geographies.
- Participate in cross‑functional continuous improvement projects (tools, processes, AI integration).
**Required Skills**
- Advanced Excel proficiency (complex formulas, model building, data analysis).
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to articulate complex financial insights clearly.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken); French is an advantage.
- Team‑oriented mindset with autonomy, initiative, and ability to challenge assumptions constructively.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Master’s degree (MSc, MBA, or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Strategy, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in financial modelling for bids, M&A, or transaction services; audit/counseling experience preferred.
- Certification in financial analysis or modelling (e.g., CFA, CIMA) is a plus.
