Director, Global Digital Marketing
**Role Summary**
Strategic leader responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing an integrated digital ecosystem that connects game, brand, and player experiences across all touchpoints in a live‑service, free‑to‑play environment. Drives retention, engagement, and long‑term brand loyalty through cross‑functional collaboration with marketing, product, live‑ops, data, and creative teams.
**Expectations**
- Define and execute the digital channel roadmap from awareness through retention.
- Align digital platforms with seasonal content, community campaigns, and monetization.
- Translate in‑game events into high‑impact digital experiences.
- Establish phase‑specific objectives, metrics, and operating models for Alpha, Beta, and Launch.
- Lead technology evaluation and implementation for CMS, A/B testing, segmentation, and personalization.
- Foster cross‑functional rituals and shared language to ensure cohesive execution.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Own strategic roadmap for websites, apps, player portals, landing pages, and related assets.
- Orchestrate the connected player journey across web, email/CRM, social, and in‑game overlays.
- Partner with UX, platform, and engineering teams to integrate CMS, CDP, CRM, and identity systems.
- Develop frameworks for content surfacing, event visibility, and ongoing engagement.
- Build and manage integrated GTM timelines from Private Alpha to Launch, defining “experience slices” that blend gameplay, community loops, and communication beats.
- Evaluate, select, and implement digital tools for personalization, testing, and segmentation.
- Collaborate with Creative, Communications, Community, and User Acquisition to synchronize messaging and digital activations.
- Monitor industry trends in free‑to‑play and live‑service models; introduce innovative out‑of‑game player experiences (e.g., onboarding flows, meta‑progress tracking, interactive lore hubs).
**Required Skills**
- Strategic planning and ecosystem design for digital channels.
- Deep understanding of live‑service, free‑to‑play business models.
- Experience with CMS, CDP, CRM, A/B testing, player segmentation, and personalization platforms.
- Strong cross‑functional leadership and stakeholder management.
- Data‑driven decision making; ability to define and track KPIs.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and project‑management abilities.
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and scalability considerations.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years progressive experience in digital marketing, preferably within gaming or entertainment.
- Proven track record leading large‑scale digital initiatives.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, Digital Marketing, PMP) are a plus.
