**Job title:** Data Analyst
**Role Summary:**
Leverage data engineering and BI development to design, automate, analyze, and visualize data for safety, production, and cost optimization. Work within Continuous Improvement to support strategic decision‑making through automated reporting, data pipelines, and insight generation.
**Expactations:**
Deliver accurate, timely analytics and dashboards; maintain data integrity and governance; mentor junior analysts; stay current with AI, ML, and digital oilfield technologies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Build and manage end‑to‑end data pipelines integrating structured and unstructured sources.
- Design, develop and deploy automated workflows (SQL, Python, Databricks, Alteryx, Spotfire, MS Power Platform).
- Develop and maintain ETL processes and application integrations across multiple systems.
- Create automated reports and dashboards for KPI visibility and trend analysis.
- Conduct analysis of LOE, capital, production drivers and SSHE events.
- Compile data for regulatory, financial, and accounting reporting.
- Evaluate and optimize existing data entry, QC, and report distribution processes.
- Communicate findings to field, IT, accounting, and data support groups.
- Provide training on standardized analysis tools.
- Mentor team members on data engineering and BI techniques.
**Required Skills:**
- Advanced data integration, manipulation, and visualization.
- Proficient in SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with Python, Databricks, and ETL tooling (Alteryx, Spotfire, Power Platform).
- Ability to modify workflows, troubleshoot errors, and document processes.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Self‑directed, works under limited supervision, collaborates cross‑functionally.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (mathematical and computing coursework required).
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience with data handling, reporting, and analytics.
- Certifications in SQL, Python, or BI platforms (preferred but not mandatory).
