**Job Title**
Production Engineer
**Role Summary**
Deploy, monitor, and support production versions of financial applications in a large banking environment. Ensure seamless release of new software releases, manage process automation, coordinate changes, and maintain operational excellence of the application stack, including middleware, web servers, and databases.
**Expectations**
- Deliver production releases on schedule while maintaining high service levels.
- Standardize and automate production workflows to reduce manual intervention and risk.
- Apply rigorous incident management and post‑mortem analysis to continually improve reliability.
- Communicate effectively with development, QA, and business stakeholders; provide clear documentation of operational procedures.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Deploy new application releases to production environments.
2. Schedule, monitor, and manage batch/process chains (Control‑M, $Universe).
3. Automate and industrialize production processes (e.g., file transfers, job orchestration).
4. Coordinate technical changes and operations, ensuring minimal impact on services.
5. Diagnose and resolve production incidents, coordinating corrective actions.
6. Create and maintain operational documentation (runbooks, supervision requirements).
7. Manage middleware, web servers, and application servers in Windows, Unix, and Linux environments.
8. Participate in production‑to‑development committees to enhance application operability and align service level expectations.
**Required Skills**
- Production deployment of Java/C#/Angular/React applications.
- Experience with Control‑M, $Universe, and batch scheduling.
- Proficiency in Windows, Unix/Linux OS administration.
- File transfer protocols: CFT, FTP, SFTP, WebSphere.
- Virtualization (VMware).
- Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server.
- DevOps tooling: Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git.
- Strong analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail.
- Professional English at B2 level or higher.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Bac +4/5) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of hands‑on production engineering experience in the banking sector (excluding internships or apprenticeships).
- No mandatory certifications specified; relevant DevOps or database certifications are a plus.
