**Job title:** Associate Director, City Marketing
**Role Summary:**
Lead the development and execution of Bumble's U.S. city marketing strategy, driving brand favorability, awareness, and user acquisition through experiential events, localized campaigns, and strategic partnerships. Manage a team of 10‑15 city managers, collaborate with cross‑functional and agency partners, and deliver data‑driven insights and operational excellence across all city marketing initiatives.
**Expactations:**
- Deliver measurable increases in favorability and awareness across key U.S. cities.
- Scale and sustain a portfolio of experiential activations and partnership programs that resonate with Gen Z and broader audiences.
- Maintain rigorous project and budget oversight, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
- Provide regular executive reporting on impact, insights, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Strategic Leadership** – Partner with Senior Director, Americas Marketing to set city‑level objectives and align them with national marketing goals.
2. **Team & Program Management** – Hire, coach, and evaluate city managers; develop local strategies, toolkits, and performance metrics; maintain clear project timelines and budgets.
3. **Program Execution & Innovation** – Plan, orchestrate, and scale live events, experiential moments, and guerrilla campaigns; identify and secure strategic local partners; oversee agency RFPs, creative development, and on‑site execution.
4. **Data‑Driven Insights** – Analyze event metrics, CRM data, and brand health studies to inform program adjustments and future opportunities.
5. **Operational Excellence** – Serve as budget holder, manage contracts and vendor relationships, and generate concise executive presentations that highlight ROI and learning.
6. **Collaboration & Relationship Building** – Build and sustain partnerships across marketing, product, creative, analytics, and finance teams to ensure cohesive brand activation.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven experience executing large‑scale experiential marketing and local partnership programs.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
- Creative strategists with deep knowledge of U.S. cultural trends and experiential best practices.
- Advanced project management, budgeting, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to translate consumer research and data into actionable briefs and measurable outcomes.
- Experience managing agencies and negotiating contracts for events and activations.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive marketing experience, including 3+ years in senior leadership of experiential or activation teams.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Certified Event Professional) are a plus.
