**Job title:** Lead Data Scientist **Role Summary:** Lead the data science organization, setting strategy, building scalable solutions, and driving data‑driven decisions across product, marketing, and retention. Own end‑to‑end modeling pipeline, data infrastructure, and stakeholder collaboration. **Expectations:** - Own data science roadmap and deliver high‑impact outcomes quickly. - Partner across engineering, product, marketing, and sales to define KPIs, experiment, and translate insights into actions. - Maintain data quality and architecture for self‑service analytics. - Advocate a culture of data‑driven decision making and continuous improvement. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, build, and deploy predictive models using multi‑channel customer and usage data to inform product and marketing strategies. - Build and maintain data infrastructure (BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran) and ensure data pipelines deliver clean, queryable datasets. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define metrics, run experiments, and surface actionable insights. - Communicate technical findings to non‑technical stakeholders in clear, concise format. - Recommend and implement improvements to tools, processes, and architecture for scalability and reliability. - Mentor junior analysts/data scientists and review code and model quality. **Required Skills:** - Advanced proficiency in SQL; strong coding skill in Python and/or R for model development. - Experience building and deploying production‑grade machine‑learning models (scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). - Expertise in data transformation and pipeline tooling (dbt, Fivetran, Airflow). - Strong statistical background and ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions. - Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to non‑technical audiences. - Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, early‑stage tech environments and take ownership of projects. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related quantitative field (Master’s preferred). - Relevant certifications in data analytics, machine learning, or data engineering (e.g., Google Cloud Data Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist).
