Job Title Legal Advisor Role Summary Deliver accurate legal advice and support to members and corporate partners across core private law areas, including property, employment, wills & probate, family, and civil litigation. Manage client interactions by phone and email, apply internal policy frameworks, resolve escalated complaints, and maintain comprehensive records in the case management system. Contribute to departmental training, research, and regulatory compliance. Expectations • LLB graduate with a recognised postgraduate legal qualification (e.g., LPC, LLM, BVC, or equivalent) or equivalent legal/insurance certification. • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and actively listen in client‑facing settings. • Knowledge of foundational law—contract, tort, civil litigation, personal injury, statutory liability— with added exposure to motoring, employment, property, family, or probate law considered advantageous. • Capacity to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Provide timely, accurate legal advice via phone and email across private law matters. 2. Apply internal RAC Legal Services policies and products consistently. 3. Handle escalated complaints professionally within agreed service levels. 4. Log all client interactions and case activities using the case‑management system. 5. Support the legal team with training delivery, legal research, and administrative duties. 6. Ensure compliance with FCA guidelines, Data Protection Act, and other regulatory requirements. Required Skills - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Strong interpersonal and listening abilities. - Legal research and analytical thinking. - Multitasking and time‑management under pressure. - Attention to detail and adherence to quality standards. - Proficiency with case‑management or CRM software.
