**Job Title** Microsoft and Office IT Administrator **Role Summary** Provide first and second line support to the London office and global War Child IT environment. Administer hardware, networking, and Microsoft 365 cloud services (Entra ID, Azure, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive). Ensure secure, reliable performance, deliver training, manage incidents, and lead continuous improvement of IT processes. **Expectations** - Maintain high service levels for local and global users. - Deliver expert support for Microsoft technologies and infrastructure. - Actively identify, document, and resolve structural IT issues. - Uphold security and compliance standards across all systems. - Provide holiday cover for the Netherlands IT role when required. **Key Responsibilities** 1. **Local IT Operations** – support laptops, printers, Wi‑Fi, network infrastructure, and meeting‑room tech. 2. **Incident Management** – log, prioritize, resolve incidents and service requests; use ticketing systems; escalations to third parties as needed. 3. **Microsoft Administration** – maintain Entra ID, Azure AD, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Office 365; provide 1st/2nd line support for global users. 4. **User & Access Management** – create/manage accounts, enforce access controls, ensure compliance with security policies. 5. **Performance & Security Monitoring** – monitor system health, respond to alerts, document incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis. 6. **Procurement & Lifecycle Management** – support acquisition of hardware, software, and services; manage asset inventory. 7. **Training & Guidance** – deliver user training on standard software and Microsoft tools; provide clear documentation. 8. **Infrastructure Improvement** – identify gaps, propose solutions, collaborate with IT teams and suppliers, implement enhancements. 9. **Cross‑Office Support** – cover the Netherlands IT role during absences and provide collaborative support to the Amsterdam team. **Required Skills** - Minimum 5 years of IT support and systems administration experience. - Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure, Office 365/Microsoft 365, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID. - Solid understanding of networks, servers, endpoints, storage, and security fundamentals. - Experience with ITIL or equivalent service‑management principles. - Proven incident and problem‑resolution capability using ticketing systems. - Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. - Proactive risk identification and independent project implementation. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s level degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. - Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Administrator Associate) preferred. - Additional security or compliance certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+) are advantageous.
