Job title: Principal Systems Analyst
Role Summary: Senior technical analyst who designs, documents, and evaluates complex enterprise software solutions. Owns system architecture, data integration, and delivery of high‑impact projects across multiple platforms.
Expectations:
- 10+ years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development of enterprise applications.
- Proven track record of delivering large‑scale, multi‑tenant solutions that integrate with diverse data sources.
- Strong understanding of relational database design, SQL, and performance tuning.
- Proficient with data‑mapping and API development (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical designs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for collaborating with stakeholders and documenting solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead analysis of business problems, gather functional and technical requirements, and produce solution architecture documents.
- Design data models, develop database schemas, write complex SQL queries, and perform performance optimization.
- Create and maintain data‑mapping specifications between internal systems and external APIs.
- Build prototypes, proof‑of‑concepts, and production‑ready code in selected programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).
- Coordinate with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
- Maintain technical documentation, version control, and archiving of design artifacts.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend tools or platforms to enhance architecture and delivery capabilities.
Required Skills:
- Systems analysis and design (architecture, BPMN/DFD, UML).
- Advanced SQL and relational database (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) expertise.
- General programming proficiency (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent).
- API integration experience: RESTful services, SOAP, JSON, XML.
- Data mapping and transformation (ETL, Data Integration tools).
- Documentation tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Confluence, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Preferred certifications: Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or relevant data‑integration/architecture credentials.
