Job title: System Controller Role Summary: Supervisor of digital operational systems on an offshore wind project, ensuring system stability, data integrity, and readiness. Works closely with engineering, IT, and control‑room teams to configure, integrate, and maintain SCADA/DCS and other industrial platforms, while documenting procedures and managing incidents. Job Description
Job Title: Lead Offshore Substation HV Commissioning Engineer Role Summary: The Lead Offshore Substation HV Commissioning Engineer will oversee all high‑voltage commissioning activities for 66kV–400kV offshore substations. Responsible for developing schedules, ensuring compliance with UK HSE and grid standards, and coordinating with OEMs, contractors, and client teams to deliver safe, efficient energisation and handover. Expectations: Deliver commissioning documents, test reports, and a seamless handover within agreed timelines; maintain zero major safety incidents; ensure all activities meet UK and offshore regulatory requirements; demonstrate effective team leadership and cross‑functional coordination. Key Responsibilities • Lead HV commissioning team and manage all commissioning lifecycle phases (FAT, SAT, on‑site testing, energisation). • Develop, update, and enforce commissioning schedules, procedures, and test documentation. • Act as primary interface between client, OEMs, EPC contractors, and other stakeholders. • Ensure all commissioning activities comply with UK HSE, electrical, and offshore standards. • Supervise FATs, SATs, and on‑site testing of transformers, GIS, protection relays, SCADA, and related systems. • Oversee testing, fault finding, and corrective actions to meet handover criteria. • Maintain accurate commissioning logs, report status, and identify risks early. • Facilitate knowledge transfer and training for onshore and offshore teams. Required Skills • Proven experience in HV commissioning (≥132kV, offshore wind or substation). • Strong leadership and multidisciplinary team coordination. • Deep knowledge of transformers, GIS, protection relays, SCADA, and HV switching. • Familiarity with UK grid connection requirements and offshore regulatory framework. • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills. • Ability to work under tight schedules and adapt to dynamic offshore environments. Key Responsibilities: - Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, constraints, and success criteria in partnership with the client. - Assemble, mentor, and lead multidisciplinary project teams (mechanics, electrical, piping, civil, etc.). - Oversee technical design, engineering specifications, and tender documentation for orders, engineering firms, and contractors. - Select and contract engineering firms and contractors, assessing capabilities, resources, and cost. - Direct and monitor all project resources, ensuring effective allocation and performance. - Manage project budget, schedule, and risk, updating plans and forecasts as needed. - Capture, assess, and implement change requests, maintaining alignment with project goals. - Deliver accurate, timely progress reports to stakeholders and maintain documentation for audit and compliance.
