Job Description
Job Title: Graduate Engineer Role Summary: 24-month cross-functional engineering program supporting naval defense solutions (Anti-Submarine Warfare). Focus on software, systems, and mechanical engineering; transition to specialist roles post-program. Expactations: Deliver hands-on engineering support across systems, software, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and test functions; collaborate on software design, integration, and testing; contribute to CAD modeling, data reporting, and acoustic processing. Key Responsibilities: - Design and test software systems (Java, C++, React, MATLAB) using UML; perform regression and functional testing. - Execute mechanical design verification and CAD modeling (SolidWorks/OrCAD) for production-ready components. - Support Agile development, Jira operations, and automation of requirements management using DOORS. - Develop technical documentation (test plans, work instructions) and automated reporting frameworks for KPIs. - Collaborate with acoustics teams on signal processing and modeling. Required Skills: - Programming (Java, C++, React, MATLAB, UML). - CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, OrCAD). - Systems engineering lifecycle and SDLC knowledge. - Linux command-line expertise. - Microsoft Office (Access, Power BI, SharePoint). - Agile methodologies and Jira. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer/Electrical/Mechanical). - Eligibility for Canadian/NATO Secret security clearance. - 2+ years experience in software/programming or CAD (demonstrated via academic/personal projects).
