**Job Title:** Field Service Engineer **Role Summary:** Provide on‑site installation, maintenance, repair, validation, and user training for PerkinElmer analytical instruments (AA, OES, ICP, ICP/MS and related lines) across the Benelux region and occasionally other European sites. Serve as a technical ambassador, ensuring high‑quality customer service, compliance with quality standards, and contribution to departmental performance targets. **Expectations:** - Deliver prompt, professional field service to maximize instrument uptime and customer satisfaction. - Maintain accurate documentation, inventory, and tool calibration in line with the Quality Management System. - Achieve personal and team performance goals, including service metrics and financial targets. - Travel throughout Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg as required; occasional trips to other European locations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform installation, routine maintenance, repairs, and validation of assigned instrument groups on customer sites. - Conduct on‑site user training for specified products. - Ensure all service documentation (manuals, service bulletins, safety procedures) is current and correctly applied. - Manage service spare parts inventory and report anomalies promptly. - Calibrate and maintain service tools and test equipment according to schedule. - Submit weekly service reports, timesheets, expense claims, and vehicle logs. - Support overseas service requests when directed by the Service Manager, adhering to European service standards. **Required Skills:** - Strong technical troubleshooting and repair abilities for electronic/analytical instrumentation. - Excellent verbal and written communication; professional demeanor with customers and internal teams. - Negotiation and influencing skills. - Customer‑service orientation with a focus on quality and timeliness. - Proficiency in English (required); Dutch and/or French beneficial. - Valid clean driving license and willingness to travel regularly. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Diploma or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline. - Minimum 3 years experience in field service or a comparable technical support role. - Clean driving license (required).
