**Job Title:** Head of Technology & Data
**Role Summary:**
Executive leader responsible for the end‑to‑end technology, digital and data strategy across a multi‑property hotel group. Drives innovation, cyber security, data governance, and the digital guest experience to support operational efficiency, revenue growth and brand differentiation.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver technology and data strategy aligned with business objectives at group level.
- Own AI strategy and implement practical solutions for guest experience, operations and decision making.
- Ensure secure, compliant, and resilient IT operations across all properties.
- Build and lead a high‑performing Technology & Data function with clear succession planning.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead and execute group‑wide Technology & Data strategy, ensuring alignment with brand goals.
- Own AI strategy, driving applications across guest journey, operations, pricing, forecasting and performance analysis.
- Manage end‑to‑end digital guest experience (pre‑stay, in‑stay, post‑stay).
- Oversee technology delivery for refurbishments, conversions, and new openings including pre‑opening readiness.
- Define, implement and maintain a robust data strategy: architecture, governance, quality, lifecycle management.
- Enable actionable analytics and dashboards to support pricing, forecasting, performance management and operational decisions.
- Integrate and optimise core systems (PMS, EPOS, CRM, booking platforms).
- Own cyber security, data protection and compliance agenda (GDPR, PCI‑DSS, risk management, audit remediation).
- Maintain resilient IT operations, infrastructure and disaster recovery.
- Partner with Finance, Procurement, Commercial, Marketing and Operations to drive revenue and guest satisfaction.
- Build and develop the Technology & Data team, plan succession and capability development.
- Manage vendors, managed services and technology programmes to deliver high‑quality, on‑time, cost‑effective outcomes.
**Required Skills:**
- Extensive experience leading complex IT programmes in a multi‑property hotel environment.
- Deep knowledge of hospitality systems (PMS such as Opera Cloud, EPOS, CRM, booking platforms).
- Proven design and operation of cloud‑based environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS).
- Strong enterprise infrastructure expertise (servers, networks, virtualisation, Wi‑Fi, Windows).
- Accountability for data security, compliance and risk management (PCI, GDPR, IT policies, security awareness).
- Excellent project management and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities, dashboard development experience.
- Executive‑level communication and board‑level influence.
- Leadership experience building, motivating and developing high‑performing teams.
- Vendor and managed service relationship management.
- Mobile, travel‑ready, with willingness to support hotel pre‑opening activities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field.
- Relevant industry certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ITIL, PMP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
