Job Description

Job title: CMM Programmer Role Summary: Contract position to develop, validate, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs using LK Metrology Camio software, ensuring accurate machine alignment, program integrity, and optimal probing strategies. Expectations: Deliver reliable CMM programs for new and existing machines; perform program validation, efficiency reviews, and reverse‑engineering tasks; collaborate with inspectors to enhance programming practices; maintain compliance with GD&T standards; deliver within a 6‑month contract. Key Responsibilities: - Design and create alignment programs for new CMM machines. - Validate existing programs against nominal tolerances and probing lists, including repeatability checks. - Update and optimize current programs for accuracy and efficiency. - Develop reverse‑engineering programs for historic tooling. - Partner with inspectors to improve CMM programming skills and understanding. Required Skills: - Proficient in LK Metrology Camio software. - Strong knowledge of GD&T principles. - Solid metrology background and problem‑solving abilities. - Experience in CMM program creation, validation, and optimization. Required Education & Certifications: - BPSS (Basic Personnel Security Standard) clearance – DBS check, right‑to‑work verification, ID verification, and 3‑year work history. - Security Check (SC) clearance. - Ability to work in the UK (resident for ≥5 years with right to work).
