Job Description
Job title: Computational Scientist III Role Summary: Lead spatial transcriptomics and proteomics data analysis for precision medicine pathology projects. Develop and implement data pipelines, perform high-plex image analyses, train team members, and collaborate with pathologists to deliver insights to stakeholders. Expectations: Deliver end-to-end analysis of CosMx SMI and PhenoCycler Fusion data, produce actionable reports, train peers, meet project deadlines, and communicate findings clearly. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and optimize scripts and pipelines for CosMx SMI spatial transcriptomics analysis. - Conduct high-plex PhenoCycler Fusion (CODEX) image analysis, including tissue classification, cell segmentation, marker detection, phenotyping, clustering, and neighborhood/proximity analyses. - Serve as subject‑matter expert; mentor and train colleagues in spatial analysis workflows. - Collaborate with pathologists and digital pathology scientists on study design, data interpretation, and project execution. - Prepare and present results to scientific and non‑scientific stakeholders, preparing visualizations and reports. - Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and quality. Required Skills: - Advanced proficiency in Python and R for data analysis and pipeline development. - Proven experience analyzing CosMx SMI and PhenoCycler Fusion spatial transcriptomics/proteomics datasets. - Familiarity with open‑source high‑plex image analysis pipelines and tools. - Experience with quantitative digital pathology platforms (Halo, Visiopharm, QuPath). - Strong data interpretation, critical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex data clearly. - Detail oriented, self‑motivated, and capable of independent work within a high‑performance team. - Ability to multitask and manage overlapping projects. Required Education & Certifications: - MSc, PhD, or equivalent in Biological Sciences, Computational Biology, Engineering, Computer Science, or Informatics.
