**Job Title:** Engineering Lead
**Role Summary:**
Lead the architecture, design, and development of core platform features for a fast‑growing fintech startup. Drive technical strategy, mentor a high‑performing engineering team, and ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and high‑quality software in an agile environment.
**Expectations:**
- Provide technical leadership and vision across the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions.
- Maintain hands‑on involvement in coding while guiding architecture and project planning.
- Foster best practices for code quality, performance, security, and continuous delivery.
- Promote and sustain an agile development process for rapid iteration.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and implement key platform components and micro‑services.
- Own the technical roadmap and roadmap alignment with business goals.
- Mentor, coach, and grow engineering talent; conduct code reviews and set engineering standards.
- Ensure cloud‑native infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is optimized for scalability and reliability.
- Manage technical debt, performance tuning, and security compliance.
- Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and delivery tracking.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in startup or high‑growth environments.
- Strong backend development expertise (e.g., Java, Go, Node.js, Python).
- Deep knowledge of cloud‑native architectures, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands‑on experience with fintech APIs, payment gateways, and scalable systems.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Agile/Scrum methodology proficiency.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred but not required).
- Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Engineer).
