Job title: Machine Learning Engineer – Internship
Role Summary:
Develop, refine, and maintain AI‑driven customer support solutions for an e‑commerce platform. Responsibilities include end‑to‑end model lifecycle management, generative agent development, recommender systems, and knowledge graph integration, ensuring high quality, scalable, and reliable services.
Expectations:
* Complete the internship in 3–6 months, starting March/April 2026.
* Deliver production‑ready code, documentation, and testing coverage (≥ 80 %).
* Collaborate across cross‑functional teams and iterate on product‑facing ML solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own feedback loops, observability, and continuous training of deployed models (HuggingFace, Vertex, PromptLayer).
* Design and implement generative agents, recommender systems, and knowledge graphs.
* Solve product problems using classical NLP and LLMs, staying current with state‑of‑the‑art research.
* Write clear technical specifications, implement domain‑driven design, and maintain FastAPI services and Kubeflow cron jobs.
* Manage infrastructure lifecycle (Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Datadog, PagerDuty).
* Maintain data pipelines in BigQuery and DBT; collaborate with data engineers and product managers.
* Analyze post‑release performance and recommend improvements.
Required Skills:
* Python (object‑oriented, Docker, pip‑tools).
* Experience with ML libraries (HuggingFace, LLMs, NLP).
* Familiarity with GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, FastAPI, Kubeflow, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Knowledge of ML concepts: classification, clustering, recommendation, reinforcement learning, vision, text‑to‑speech, speech‑to‑text.
* Strong written and verbal communication in English.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Master’s degree in STEM (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, etc.) or equivalent coursework.
* Valid Convention de stage (internship contract) required.
