**Job Title:** UPS Technology Group Summer 2026 Internship – KY
**Role Summary:**
Paid 12‑week summer internship (June‑August) for undergraduate or recent graduate students in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, MIS, Engineering, Mathematics or related fields. Hybrid role based in Louisville, KY, with placement on one of UPS Technology Group product teams (e.g., Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Product Management, Information Security). Participants will contribute to real projects, develop technical and soft skills, and work closely with mentors in an Agile environment.
**Expectations:**
- Work 40 hours per week (Monday‑Friday) for the full summer term.
- Reside within commuting distance of Louisville or be willing to relocate for the internship duration.
- U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or authorized work status.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, adaptability, problem‑solving, detail orientation, organization, and critical‑thinking abilities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Contribute to assigned product‑team projects, delivering measurable results.
- Apply and expand technical knowledge through hands‑on development, testing, or data analysis tasks.
- Collaborate with team members and mentors, following Agile best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
- Assist in troubleshooting, performance testing, or security assessments as required.
**Required Skills:**
*Technical (minimum three from any category):*
- Programming: Java, Python, C++, .NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL
- Operating Systems: Linux/Unix, Windows Server
- Platforms/Frameworks: Agile, Cloud (Azure, OpenShift, Kubernetes), ASP.NET, Spring, Angular
- Data Systems: Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, Oracle Database
- Networking/Infrastructure: LAN/WAN, Cisco IOS/NX‑OS
- Tools & Technologies: ServiceNow, Ansible, PowerShell, Qualys, Visual Studio
- Development & Testing: Web Development, DevOps, REST API, SOAP, Performance Testing
- Additional: AI/ML, Containerization/Cloud Development

**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Currently enrolled in or graduated (within the past 24 months) from a Bachelor’s (or higher) program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- No specific certifications required; relevant coursework or project experience is beneficial.
