Job title: Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Role Summary:
Lead the strategy, innovation and delivery of information technology across the French operations, coordinating with the Group IT team. Ensure robust, secure, and scalable IT systems, oversee digital transformation initiatives (including AI), manage application development, infrastructure, user support, and cybersecurity compliance.
Expectations:
- Drive the digital roadmap for Babcock France, aligning with Group objectives and fostering innovation.
- Integrate AI capabilities to support growth across production, finance, HR and other business functions.
- Maintain high availability and security of all IT services, meeting Group and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders, delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Guide and mentor a multidisciplinary IT team of approximately 600 end‑users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and manage the national digital roadmap, including AI initiatives and technology scouting.
- Lead development, integration, and support of enterprise applications across business units.
- Oversee network and infrastructure management: design, deployment, maintenance, and incident resolution.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements of the Group IT and data protection regulations.
- Conduct project governance, resource planning, risk management, and performance reporting.
- Serve as the primary liaison between French and Group IT, facilitating knowledge transfer and best‑practice adoption.
- Provide user support and training, promoting digital literacy and efficient tool usage.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 6 years of experience managing large‑scale IT projects, preferably at an international level.
- Strong foundation in operating systems, networking, cybersecurity, and industrial IT platforms.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills in a multicultural, fast‑changing environment.
- Deep understanding of data protection laws (GDPR, etc.) and information security frameworks.
- Interest and experience in AI‑driven innovation.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Bac +5) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- ITIL Foundation certification (mandatory).
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
- Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM) considered an advantage.
