Business Capability Analyst (Manufacturing)
**Role Summary**
Analyze, design, and refine manufacturing capabilities to enable scalable, interoperable workflows across engineering, supply chain, quality, and IT. Translate capability requirements into PLM, ERP, MES, and Jira configurations and support governance, change management, and continuous improvement.
**Expectations**
- Deliver mature capability models that drive Alpha‑to‑Beta scaling
- Ensure compliance, data integrity, and process efficiency across the system stack
**Key Responsibilities**
- Define and mature manufacturing capabilities (planning, assembly execution, production readiness, configuration and change control)
- Establish roles, responsibilities, and ownership within each capability
- Build and maintain end‑to‑end capability maps linking engineering design to manufacturing execution
- Map and analyze as‑is and to‑be processes to identify gaps and inefficiencies
- Document inputs, outputs, quality gates, KPIs, and control mechanisms
- Develop process governance tools (checklists, audits, maturity assessments)
- Translate capability requirements into PLM, ERP, MES, and Jira configuration needs
- Define and implement integrations across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain systems
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Test & Validation, IT, and Quality teams
- Facilitate stakeholder reviews, incorporate feedback, and refine designs
- Drive change management to adopt new workflows and controls
- Identify execution bottlenecks, propose data‑driven improvements, and contribute to the roadmap for Beta and Production readiness
- Ensure scalability, compliance, and continuous improvement as the organization grows
**Required Skills**
- 5+ years in manufacturing operations, industrial engineering, or hardware production environments
- Experience supporting early‑stage hardware/robotics teams (Alpha/Beta builds)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing planning, assembly operations, and configuration management
- Familiarity with PLM (Teamcenter/Windchill), ERP, MES, and workflow tools such as Jira
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, APQP, or digital manufacturing methodologies (preferred)
- Proficiency in capability frameworks, process mapping, and governance structures
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Business Operations, or related field (certification in Lean/Six Sigma is a plus)
