**Job title:** Head of Accounting France (f/m)
**Role Summary:**
Lead accounting operations for Airbus Helicopters in France, ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting under IFRS and local GAAP, implementing group‑wide accounting standards, and partnering with finance and non‑finance stakeholders to drive compliance, risk mitigation and process improvement.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver high‑quality financial statements and reports on schedule and within budget.
- Enforce IFRS, French GAAP and Airbus Group accounting rules, while safeguarding internal controls.
- Serve as trusted business partner for all accounting‑related matters (contracts, litigation, audits).
- Foster continuous improvement, digitalisation and ERP projects.
- Lead, develop and manage a team of approximately 15 accounting professionals.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly and year‑end statements, annual reports and management reports in line with IFRS, local GAAP and group policies.
2. Define and implement accounting procedures, rules, and harmonised controls across Airbus Helicopters.
3. Manage audit relationships: liaise with external auditors, address findings and support company positions.
4. Lead the French accounting team, driving performance, skills development and succession planning.
5. Collaborate with Controlling, Tax, Legal, Treasury and external service providers to integrate data, support decisions and maintain compliance.
6. Champion continuous improvement, cost‑saving and digital initiatives (e.g., Transformation Plan, F‑Drive, ERP/P11).
7. Promote the Group’s Ethics and Compliance culture, enforcing fraud prevention and risk controls.
**Required Skills:**
- 10+ years of senior accounting/finance leadership, preferably in aerospace or engineering.
- Deep knowledge of IFRS, French GAAP, and Airbus group reporting standards.
- Proven ability to design and implement internal controls, accounting procedures and audit frameworks.
- Strong leadership, team‑development, and cross‑functional stakeholder‑management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and project‑management capabilities.
- Proficiency in finance ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and experience with P11 implementation advantageous.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Professional accounting credential (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, DPE) or equivalent study/experience.
- Security clearance eligibility or ability to obtain clearance from authorised authorities.
