About the Company

Food processing cooperative group composed of 8,000 farmers and more than 5,500 employees. We are structured around :

* an agricultural division (grain, agricultural supplies, seeds, vegetables, animal production and nutrition),
* a fine food division with foie gras, jambon de Byonne, salmon, caviar, ... (Delpeyrat, Comtesse du Barry, Sarrade and Delmas),
* a poultry division from slaughtering and butchering through to marketing (Fermiers du Sud-Ouest with St Sever or Marie Hot brand),
* a garden centre & mechanised agriculture division (a network of garden centres, a central purchasing facility and points of sale for mechanised agriculture).

The Group is made up of business sectors, enabling us to create added value for all activities while retaining excellent product quality at all levels. The Group also draws upon a Sustainable Development approach which is intrinsically linked to the cooperative and the practices of its 8,000 farmers.

Maisadour has close to 160 industrial sites (silos, slaughterhouses, feed manufacturing sites, seed factories, etc.), established across the South-West of France.

Our establishments and subsidiaries abroad (Ukraine, Spain, Germany, Morocco, etc.) also enable us to strengthen and sustain outlets for our farmers. More than 100 points of sale (Delpeyrat and Comtesse du Barry, etc.) complement our establishments both in France and abroad.

Stage Master 1: Imputation marqueurs moléculaires
Job Description
**Job Title** Master 1 Internship: Imputation of Molecular Markers **Role Summary** Conduct research to develop and evaluate algorithms that predict thousands of genomic markers from a reduced marker set within multi‑parent plant breeding populations. Focus on optimizing imputation accuracy, assessing the influence of population structure and relatedness, and identifying optimal marker subsets for Genotyping‑by‑Sequencing workflows. **Expectations** • Complete a 3–4 month internship during Master 1 studies. • Deliver working code, performance analyses, and a final report. • Adhere to reproducible data‑analysis practices and maintain clear documentation. **Key Responsibilities** • Build and test statistical/genetic imputation methods using R and/or Python. • Evaluate imputation accuracy on multi‑parent populations with known and unknown parental relationships. • Analyze the effects of population structure and kinship on imputation quality. • Recommend strategies for selecting an optimal subset of markers to genotype. • Present findings to research team through reports and briefings. **Required Skills** • Proficiency in R and/or Python for data analysis. • Fundamental understanding of molecular genetics and SNP markers. • Knowledge of quantitative genetics and population genetics concepts. • Experience with large‑scale genomic data processing and workflow management. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and independent work abilities. **Required Education & Certifications** • Current enrollment in a Master 1 program in Genetics, Quantitative Biology, Biostatistics, or Applied Data Science in Biology. • Coursework covering molecular genetics, quantitative genetics, and population genetics. ---
