**Job Title**
DevOps Engineer – Junior (F/M)
**Role Summary**
Support and improve the software delivery pipeline, ensuring reliable, automated CI/CD processes across Java, Angular, Python, and database environments. Act as a liaison between development and operations teams, maintaining and optimizing tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Artifactory, XLDeploy, and XLRelease. Provide technical troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives in an Agile context.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 1 year dev‑ops experience, preferably in a software factory setting.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Shell, Groovy, or Python).
- Demonstrated understanding of CI/CD tools and automation practices.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, including cloud (GCP) and container orchestration (OpenShift).
- Strong analytical mindset and collaborative communication skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide day‑to‑day support for software factory components (source‑control, build, test, release, and security tools).
- Enhance internal Groovy scripts to extend Jenkins pipeline functionality.
- Collaborate with developers to design and implement efficient pipelines tailored to their product requirements.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues in integration and deployment environments.
- Automate and standardise delivery processes, ensuring reproducibility and reliability.
- Monitor pipeline health, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot failures.
- Document best practices, create knowledge base articles, and propose continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work within a cross‑functional team, sharing expertise and contributing to a culture of knowledge exchange.
**Required Skills**
- Scripting: Shell, Groovy, and/or Python.
- CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, Git (Bitbucket), Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Artifactory, XLDeploy, XLRelease.
- Cloud & Container Platforms: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), OpenShift/Kubernetes.
- Databases: Oracle, MySQL.
- Reporting & Analytics: PowerBI.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork orientation.
- Enthusiasm for automation, continuous learning, and process optimisation.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Certifications in DevOps practices or related technologies are a plus (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, Jenkins CI).
