**Job title:** Ecommerce Optimisation Specialist
**Role Summary:** Drive product discovery excellence across search, navigation, taxonomy, and ranking on an e‑commerce platform; collaborate with trading, UX, and SEO teams to design, test, and refine optimisation initiatives that boost engagement and conversion.
**Expactations:** Deliver measurable improvements in discoverability, user engagement, and conversion rates; produce data‑backed insights, test reports, and optimisation roadmaps; influence cross‑functional strategy and maintain a high‑quality user journey.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and execute A/B and incremental tests on search, filter, taxonomy, and product ranking features.
- Analyse performance using Google Analytics, ContentSquare, and other analytics tools; convert insights into actionable optimisation recommendations.
- Work with trading, product, UX, and SEO teams to design experiments, set hypotheses, and define success metrics.
- Prioritise optimisation initiatives against commercial objectives and customer experience goals.
- Report results to stakeholders, documenting learnings, impact, and next‑step plans.
- Stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and competitive benchmarks in e‑commerce discovery.
**Required Skills:**
- Proven experience in e‑commerce optimisation, site merchandising, or trading within a fast‑paced retail or digital environment.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Google Analytics, ContentSquare, or similar analytics platforms.
- Expertise in test‑and‑learn methodology (A/B, multivariate, multichannel testing).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and influence abilities across cross‑functional teams.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and comfortable owning projects from concept to execution and reporting.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Professional certification in digital analytics (e.g., Google Analytics Certified, Adobe Analytics, or equivalent) preferred.
