Conduct testing, document findings, and collaborate with technical teams to validate corrective actions. **Expectations:** - Quickly analyze and compile problem statements via quality systems (e.g., ALPOS). - Interpret complex vehicle data for functional problem statements. - Proactively manage reliability issue status and verify solution effectiveness. - Specify testing criteria, vehicle usage profiles, and special procedures to identify functional defects. - Prioritize and escalate high-impact issues to executive decision forums. - Prepare detailed documentation for drive events and critical issue reporting. **Key Responsibilities:** - Execute static/dynamic assessment of pre-series vehicles in UK/international testing programs. - Capture data logs, imagery, and statistical analysis for issue handover to technical teams. - Plan vehicle specifications, market selection, and test scheduling to assess system performance. - Critically evaluate issues raised during event preparation drives and summarize high-impact concerns. - Validate corrective actions and release criteria for vehicle features to meet customer expectations. **Required Skills:** - Advanced data analysis and statistical evaluation of vehicle systems. - Proficiency in interpreting reliability testing results and functional performance metrics. - Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and issue prioritization skills. - Clear technical documentation, communication, and cross-team collaboration. - Valid UK driver’s license, passport for international travel, and unrestricted UK work rights. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or higher in engineering, automotive, or related technical field. - Proven experience in automotive quality analysis or reliability testing. - Training or familiarity with ALPOS quality systems preferred.

**Job title:** Resident Quality Engineer **Role Summary:** Resident Quality Engineer provides on‑site quality leadership for automotive manufacturing projects, acting as the primary point of contact for quality issue escalation. The role drives root cause investigations, containment, corrective action implementation, and reporting to suppliers and customer quality teams, ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards. **Expectations:** - Serve as first escalation point for all customer quality issues. - Conduct timely preliminary investigations and define immediate containment plans. - Compile detailed investigation reports and communicate findings to supplier manufacturing plants. - Ensure supplier action plans for containment and corrective actions are executed at source and validated. - Liaise with customer quality teams to confirm action acceptance and close issues. **Key Responsibilities:** - Receive and log quality issue notifications from customer associates. - Investigate suspect automotive parts (e.g., engine wiring harnesses, temperature sensors, connection cables, overmolded plugs, clock springs). - Apply 8D problem‑solving methodology to identify root causes. - Develop, document, and execute containment plans to mitigate immediate risks. - Draft comprehensive investigations reports for supplier review. - Partner with Italian supplier plant to drive corrective action implementation. - Monitor action status, verify effectiveness, and report outcomes to customer quality teams. - Maintain accurate documentation, metrics, and trend analyses. - Update quality registers and control plans as required. - Communicate findings and recommendations to all levels, including engineering and production management. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in automotive manufacturing or quality assurance. - Strong knowledge of automotive quality systems, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and 8D methodology. - Ability to conduct root cause investigations and develop effective corrective/contingency plans. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Proficient in quality documentation (root cause analysis, corrective action reports, FMEA, control plans). - Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple investigations concurrently. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent technical field. - Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent automotive quality certification preferred. - Valid right to work in the UK. ---
