Job title: Salesforce Developer (Apprentice) – DSI Group
Role Summary:
An apprentice programmer responsible for extending and maintaining a core Salesforce application. Drive development of Apex triggers, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce pages; configure Salesforce objects, fields, validation rules, and flows; support data visualization and low‑code integrations with Power BI and Power Apps. Collaborate with product and business teams to refine specifications, produce documentation, and ensure high quality through unit tests, code reviews, and basic monitoring. Participate in agile ceremonies, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous improvement of Salesforce best practices.
Expactations:
- Deliver functional Salesforce components within sprint timelines.
- Write clean, tested, and maintainable code adhering to Salesforce security and governance guidelines.
- Communicate requirements clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Self‑direct learning of new Salesforce features and related technologies.
- Maintain professionalism in a multilingual, international environment; Russian or French optional, but English fluency essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce pages.
2. Configure and extend Salesforce objects, fields, validation rules, and flows.
3. Write SOQL/SOSL queries and integrate with external services via REST APIs.
4. Implement unit tests and participate in peer code reviews.
5. Contribute to documentation of specifications, code, and architecture.
6. Support data‑visualisation projects (Power BI) and low‑code app development (Power Apps).
7. Engage in agile practices: backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
8. Use Git and Azure DevOps (Boards, Pipelines) for source control and CI/CD.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Lightning Web Components.
- Familiarity with Salesforce configuration (Objects, Fields, Validation Rules, Flows).
- Experience with RESTful services and API integration.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Good written and spoken English; French highly valued.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Current enrollment in an engineering, university, or equivalent degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (B.Sc. to M.Sc., 3rd–5th year).
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification preferred but not mandatory.
