Solutions Architect

Job Description

Job Title: Junior Solutions Architect – Banking Role Summary: Assist senior architects in translating banking business requirements into technical solutions, focusing on data migration, workload modernization, and integration of SAS tools within Google Cloud Platform environments. Expectations: 1‑3 years of experience in solution design, technical consulting, or data/analytics engineering; proven ability to work with SAS and GCP technologies; strong documentation and communication skills; ability to collaborate across engineering and SME teams. Key Responsibilities: - Translate business needs into technical solutions under guidance of senior architects. - Participate in data migration, workload classification, and modernization projects from on‑prem to GCP. - Draft high‑ and low‑level design documents, including data flows, integration patterns, and system interactions. - Collaborate with GCP engineers, SAS engineers, and SMEs to deploy solutions and perform performance tuning. Required Skills: - Hands‑on experience with SAS technologies (SAS Viya, SAS 9.4, SAS Studio, SAS Visual Analytics). - Working knowledge of GCP services (BigQuery, GCS, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, IAM). - Strong understanding of data integration, ETL pipelines, APIs, and cloud‑native architecture. - Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Certifications such as Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer or SAS Certified Advanced Programmer are desirable but not mandatory.
