**Job Title:** Regulatory Services Administration Team Leader
**Role Summary:**
Lead and manage a high‑volume administrative team, ensuring efficient day‑to‑day operations, system integrity, and regulatory compliance. Coordinate scheduling, supervise staff performance, oversee data management, and support senior management with financial and operational reporting.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver consistent, high‑quality regulatory support services.
- Maintain strict adherence to performance indicators and budgetary controls.
- Foster continuous improvement, process optimisation, and stakeholder collaboration.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate Service Support Officers, handling induction, sickness, and recruitment.
- Plan and allocate workload, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Manage financial processes including corporate credit card oversight and budget monitoring.
- Maintain the regulatory services case‑management system; act as system super‑user and data steward.
- Stay current on regulatory legislation, policies, and best practices across Environmental Protection, Health Protection, Private Sector Housing, and Trading Standards.
- Identify service improvement opportunities, lead process reviews, and implement enhancements.
- Support senior managers with data manipulation, report generation, and performance monitoring.
- Build and sustain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
**Required Skills:**
- Leadership and team management, including delegation and coaching.
- Strong analytical and data‑management capabilities.
- Proficient IT skills, especially case‑management systems, databases, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, public‑facing report writing.
- Financial acumen: budget monitoring, cost control, credit card management.
- Knowledge of data protection, security, and confidentiality standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functional areas and with external partners.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Minimum of 2 A‑Levels, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Extensive experience at senior administrator level (typically 5+ years).
- Relevant vocational qualifications or training in regulatory administration, public health, environmental compliance, or related fields are desirable.
