**Job Title**
Engineering Manager – Credit
**Role Summary**
Lead the engineering organization for the Credit vertical within a fast‑growing fintech. Manage three development teams (~10 engineers total), align technical execution with product roadmaps, maintain high product quality through agile practices and CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional stakeholders across Infrastructure, Helpdesk, Placement, and Assurance domains.

- Build and nurture a high‑performing engineering team that delivers on product and technical goals.
- Own the continuous improvement of engineering processes and toolsets.
- Act as a technical bridge between business stakeholders and engineering resources, ensuring the right solutions are delivered on time and to quality standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and retain engineering talent; set individual and team objectives and measure progress.
- Define technical vision and roadmap for credit products in partnership with product and business units.
- Estimate resources, plan releases, and track progress against milestones.
- Architect scalable, maintainable solutions using backend (PHP, C#, Java) and frontend (React) technologies on Azure or GCP.
- Implement and enforce agile practices, quality standards, and CI/CD pipelines (code reviews, automated testing, deployments).
- Foster close collaboration with Infrastructure, Helpdesk, and other vertical teams.
- Conduct technical due diligence, risk assessment, and architecture reviews.
- Lead continuous learning initiatives; keep the team current on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Communicate status, risks, and mitigations to senior leadership (Deputy CTO and management team).
**Required Skills**
- Proven experience managing 3+ development teams (10–15 engineers).
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team‑building abilities.
- Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable system design.
- Hands‑on proficiency or solid knowledge of at least one backend language (PHP, C#, Java) and a modern frontend framework (React).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and containerization/CI/CD tooling (GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Solid grasp of agile methodologies at scale (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a matrixed, fast‑changing environment.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Certified Scrum Master, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
