Job Description
**Job Title** Senior Finance Accountant – Group & External Reporting (5‑month FTC) **Role Summary** Provide technical accounting expertise and lead the Group’s statutory accounts, disclosures, and IFRS compliance during the Interim and Full‑Year reporting cycle. Act as a key liaison between internal finance teams and external auditors, driving process improvement and control effectiveness across the Finance function. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality statutory accounts and regulatory filings within tight deadlines. - Serve as the IFRS authority, ensuring strict adherence to policies and standards. - Partner with senior finance and audit stakeholders, influencing reporting quality and governance. - Manage multiple priorities, resolve complex audit queries, and maintain accuracy under pressure. **Key Responsibilities** - Coordinate and finalize Group statutory accounts, disclosures, and preliminary sign‑off. - Prepare Group technical papers and guidance on IFRS and internal policies. - Collaborate with audit teams to address audit requests and resolve technical issues. - Lead initiatives to enhance process efficiency, standardisation, and compliance. - Embed strong controls culture, support internal audit, and validate operating effectiveness. - Communicate complex accounting matters clearly to finance and non‑finance stakeholders. **Required Skills** - Advanced accounting and reporting acumen (IFRS, statutory requirements). - Experience with statutory accounts preparation and external audit processes. - Strong analytical, professional scepticism, and sound judgment. - Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex issues. - Proven business‑partnering across cross‑functional teams. - Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and deliver under pressure. - High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. **Required Education & Certifications** - ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or equivalent). - Relevant professional finance qualification and understanding of regulatory environment. ---
