**Job Title:** Platform Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, develop, and maintain the core developer platform and internal tooling that enable scalable, secure, and high‑performance blockchain infrastructure for zkSync. Collaborate across protocol, security, and product teams to ensure reliable developer workflows and infrastructure road‑maps.
**Expactations:**
- 3–10 years of experience in platform, infrastructure, systems, or protocol engineering.
- Proven ownership of complex, high‑load distributed systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English with cross‑functional teams.
- Proactive, curiosity‑driven attitude toward improving developer experience and zero‑knowledge technology.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Build and operate core platform services and tooling supporting L1/L2 development.
- Develop high‑throughput, low‑latency services for protocol and application teams.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and observability stacks.
- Produce technical documentation, prototypes, and research outcomes.
- Partner with Protocol, DevEx, Core Engineering, and Security to define architecture and roadmap.
- Ensure platform components meet scalability, security, and performance standards.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong grasp of blockchain infrastructure, EVM, and L2 environments.
- Proficiency in strongly‑typed languages (Go, Rust *highly valued*, C++, Scala).
- Experience with smart‑contract tooling (Foundry, Yul, Solidity) a plus.
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD, release pipelines, container/orchestration platforms, and observability.
- Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system performance optimization.
- Familiarity with cryptographic primitives, Merkle trees, or low‑level protocol components (preferred).
- Ownership mindset, cross‑functional communication, and developer‑experience focus.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cloud Architecture, DevOps) are optional but advantageous.
