Job title: Engineering Manager – SaaS FinTech
Role Summary: Lead a cross‑functional squad (4-6 developers, PO, domain experts) to deliver high‑quality, reliable SaaS solutions. Report to the Head of Engineering and drive technical excellence, Agile practices, and continuous improvement within a fast‑growing scale‑up.
Expectations:
- Manage end‑to‑end delivery of time‑sensitive projects.
- Coach and scale the engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership, quality, and communication.
- Own Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, and sprint execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee technical delivery, ensuring quality, reliability, and on‑time release.
- Hire, mentor, and evaluate developers; conduct performance reviews.
- Facilitate daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Resolve blockers, mitigate risks, and maintain technical cohesion across releases.
- Collaborate with Product, Delivery, and Operations teams to align goals and priorities.
- Define and enforce documentation standards, code reviews, and best practices.
- Advocate for continuous improvement, tooling, and process optimization.
Required Skills:
- Strong background in software development with proven experience leading technical teams in Agile environments.
- Expertise in web platforms, APIs, cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux-based infrastructure.
- Proficiency with Python (including Django), Rust, JavaScript, Git, and related ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to make strategic technical decisions, prioritize trade‑offs, and drive cross‑disciplinary collaboration.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional level English (written and spoken).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- Certifications in Agile (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe) and DevOps practices are a plus.
