Job title: Systems and Security Engineer Role Summary: Design, secure, and operate large‑scale educational technology infrastructure. Lead SOC operations, manage 1,200+ servers, and drive continuous delivery pipelines with DevSecOps and AI‑ops practices to maintain high availability and regulatory compliance. Expactations: - Deliver end‑to‑end secure system design and production support. - Lead and improve SOC processes and incident response. - Ensure operational health of virtualized and containerized environments. - Drive IaC deployments and infrastructure evolution. - Champion DevSecOps and AI‑ops initiatives for predictive monitoring. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the education SOC, continuously enhance procedures and toolsets. - Monitor and analyze daily security events using a SIEM platform in partnership with the CISO. - Administrate application firewalls and maintain compliance with configuration audits. - Maintain operational readiness of over 1,200 servers (800 prod / 400 pre‑prod) and millions of user accounts. - Oversee performance and availability of virtualized and Kubernetes‑based services; conduct version upgrades, incident management, and performance tuning. - Participate in weekly on‑call rotations (6 h–midnight shifts). - Deploy and manage solutions via IaC (Puppet, Ansible) and version control (Git, ArgoCD/FluxCD). - Implement infrastructure changes aligned with product evolution. - Optimize CI/CD pipelines with DevSecOps practices. - Integrate AI‑ops tools for efficient operations and predictive infrastructure monitoring.
