**Job Title**
Power BI Consultant
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, and deliver end‑to‑end Power BI solutions that transform business requirements into actionable, high‑impact dashboards and reports. Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to model data, ensure data quality, and provide user adoption support across multiple client environments.
**Expectations**
- 5–7 years of proven experience as a Power BI consultant or BI developer.
- Autonomous, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong business‑analytical mindset: translate functional needs into clear, insightful dashboards.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and end‑user training.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Gather and analyse business requirements for analytics, performance monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust data models (star schema, partitioning, performance optimisation).
- Build, test, and publish interactive Power BI reports and dashboards using Desktop and Service.
- Continuously refine existing reports: optimise DAX, improve visual performance, and ensure data reliability.
- Establish BI governance: naming conventions, security (RLS), documentation, and best‑practice guidelines.
- Collaborate with data, infrastructure, and application teams to integrate Power BI with Azure SQL, Synapse, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 services.
- Deliver training and support to end‑users, fostering data‑driven decision making.
**Required Skills**
- Power BI Desktop & Service, DAX, Power Query (M).
- Data modelling expertise (star schema, dimensional modelling).
- Performance tuning and optimisation techniques.
- Familiarity with Azure services (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory).
- Experience with SQL Server, Microsoft 365 integration, and SharePoint data sources.
- Knowledge of BI governance, naming conventions, RLS, and documentation practices.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.
- Microsoft Power BI certifications (e.g., DA‑900, PB‑C01, or similar) are strongly preferred.
