**Job Title:** Control‑M Expert/Administrator
**Role Summary:**
Senior professional responsible for deploying, customizing, and maintaining Control‑M scheduling solutions (versions 9.0.20/9.0.21). Leads architecture design, version migrations, and Level‑3 support while driving automation, standardization, and technical documentation. Acts as liaison with vendors and internal teams to ensure reliable, scalable job‑scheduling operations across heterogeneous Windows, Unix, and Linux environments.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deploy and configure Control‑M 9.0.20/9.0.21; customize according to business requirements.
- Design, maintain, and optimize Control‑M architecture; conduct infrastructure assessments.
- Plan and execute version migrations and upgrades (including migration of ~1500 legacy schedulers).
- Provide Level‑3 support for Control‑M and related scheduling tools.
- Manage technical workshops, meetings, and user training sessions.
- Implement automated solutions and scripts to reduce manual tasks.
- Define technical standards, ensure compliance, and drive process industrialization.
- Produce technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge‑base articles.
- Coordinate with vendors for product updates, incident handling, and feature enhancements.
- Evaluate and propose open‑source alternatives and new technologies.
**Required Skills:**
- Expertise in BMC Control‑M (installation, configuration, administration).
- Proficiency with other schedulers (e.g., $Universe, VTOM, Automator, TWS Beta 48) preferred.
- Strong scripting abilities (Shell, PowerShell) and automation mindset.
- Solid system administration on Windows Server, HP‑UX, Solaris, AIX, Linux (SUSE, Red Hat, Debian).
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Proxmox, Scaleway).
- Familiarity with file‑transfer tools (Axway CFT, Secure Transport, Sentinel, etc.) valued.
- Database knowledge: Sybase, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server.
- Understanding of ITIL processes, UML, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git).
- Good grasp of networking, security concepts, Web services, and API integration.
- Excellent problem‑solving, documentation, and communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., BMC Control‑M Certification, ITIL Foundation, Linux/Windows administration) are a plus.
