Job Description

**Job title:** Lead Salesforce Platform Architect **Role Summary:** Lead architect responsible for designing, governing, and extending the Salesforce platform to meet enterprise business requirements. Provides strategic direction, technical guidance, and best‑practice oversight across large‑scale Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards. **Expectations:** • Deliver a secure, performant, and cost‑optimised Salesforce environment. • Drive platform strategy and road‑map execution in line with business objectives. • Mentor and influence cross‑functional teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence. • Stay abreast of Salesforce releases and innovations, recommending adoption where beneficial. **Key Responsibilities:** • Partner with business stakeholders and senior executives to define application designs for large‑scale solutions. • Lead a team of Salesforce architects, reviewing designs, implementation plans, and integration strategies. • Advise on product purchasing, licensing, and marketplace solutions to maximise platform value. • Establish and enforce platform‑level design principles, including data volume management and governor‑limit compliance. • Oversee development and maintenance of custom applications within Salesforce orgs and facilitate integration with internal and external systems. • Conduct system audits, implement data integrity and security measures, and promote best practices in data management. • Author comprehensive documentation covering architecture, configurations, processes, and governance frameworks. **Required Skills:** • Deep expertise in Salesforce CRM, Experience Cloud, and Data Cloud architecture. • Proven experience extending Salesforce with complementary stacks (e.g., open‑source, Microsoft). • Strong knowledge of Salesforce governance, data modelling, integration patterns, and security models. • Demonstrated leadership in guiding technical teams and influencing architecture decisions. • Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders. **Required Education & Certifications:** • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. • Certified Salesforce Platform Enterprise Architect or equivalent senior Salesforce architecture qualification. • Additional certifications in Integration Services, Data Cloud, or Experience Cloud are advantageous.
