Job Title: System Engineer (Ironport)
Role Summary:
Senior-level engineer responsible for Level 3 support, engineering, and modernization of enterprise Active Directory and secure messaging environments, primarily within a major international banking infrastructure.
Expactations:
* Deliver high‑availability, secure identity and messaging services across AMER, EU, and ASIA.
* Drive global initiatives to strengthen security, automate processes, and upgrade legacy systems.
* Act as a technical point of contact for cross‑regional teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide Level 3 operational support for Active Directory and Azure AD (Entra ID).
2. Partner with US and global teams to manage and secure Cisco IronPort SEG integrated with Microsoft Exchange.
3. Implement and maintain email security controls (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, antispam, antimalware) and Exchange Online governance.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in AD, ADFS, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, certificate authorities, and load balancers.
5. Contribute to scripting, automation, and performance optimization using PowerShell and other command‑line tools.
6. Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and security hardening projects.
7. Maintain accurate documentation, knowledge base entries, and process improvement initiatives.
8. Ensure compliance with ITIL‑based Change/Incident Management and global security policies.
Required Skills:
* Extensive Cisco IronPort SEG (Proofpoint experience preferred).
* Microsoft Exchange (2016/2019/SE) and Exchange Online administration.
* Advanced email security expertise (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, antispam, antimalware).
* Active Directory, Group Policy, ADFS, Entra ID, SAML tactics.
* PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
* Windows Server 2016/2019 enterprise management.
* DNS, DHCP, load balancer, backup/restore fundamentals.
* Azure IaaS, virtual machine, and appliance integration.
* ITIL‑based ServiceNow change/incident processes.
* Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
* 10+ years of senior‑level experience in AD/Exchange and secure messaging, preferably within financial services.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Cisco IronPort, CPM, or equivalent) are a plus.
