**Job Title**: Production Security Manager
**Role Summary**
Lead security operations for live productions, ensuring the safety of talent, crew, assets, and intellectual property. Develop, implement, and continually refine security plans in collaboration with production and location teams, vendors, and local authorities. Serve as the central communication hub for all security incidents and compliance requirements across production sites worldwide.
**Expectations**
- Oversee end‑to‑end security for assigned productions, acting as the head of security.
- Manage daily security briefings, compliance enforcement, and incident reporting.
- Maintain proactive risk assessments, respond to emergencies, and adapt plans to evolving production schedules.
- Liaise with local law enforcement, vendors, and Global Security Production Manager to ensure alignment with legal and corporate standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Develop and maintain relationships with Production Supervisors, Coordinators, and Heads of Department.
2. Create security plans and policies aligned with industry and corporate standards; conduct ongoing risk assessments for all production locations (film sites, sets, offices).
3. Establish risk‑based mitigation measures; monitor uncontrollable risks (weather, unrest, crime).
4. Negotiate staffing needs and quality of security personnel with the Locations Department and security vendors.
5. Draft daily briefings and reminders to crew, reinforcing security compliance protocols.
6. Investigate, report, and resolve building or stage security issues; conduct social media intelligence on cast/production.
7. Adjust security posture in response to schedule changes (off‑site recordings, studio‑based requirements, weekend shoots).
8. Participate in production meetings; provide consistent security updates to producers and leadership.
9. Communicate weekly with Global Security Production Manager on progress and concerns.
**Required Skills**
- Leadership: 5+ years progressive security experience; 2+ years managing teams or vendors.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to brief crews and report incidents clearly.
- Project Management: Manage multiple security projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Problem Solving: Address unexpected threats promptly, exercising sound judgment.
- Technical: Proficiency with physical security systems (intrusion detection, CCTV, alarms, communications) and security software.
- Investigation & Analysis: Conduct assessments, produce recommendations, and implement protection for talent, locations, and intellectual property.
- Operations: Execute contingency plans for high‑risk environments and emergency response.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Professional security certifications (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or equivalent).
- Valid security clearance or background check clearance as required by employer.
