**Job Title** Mechanical Design Engineer (Naval) **Role Summary** Design Engineer in a 70‑person industrial company, responsible for the full life cycle of marine vessels and equipment. Works closely with the Design Office manager, production teams, and field crews to deliver compliant, high‑quality technical solutions. **Expectations** Deliver detailed 2‑D/3‑D CAD models, perform mechanical and structural sizing, prepare complete technical dossiers, support onboard sea trials, and drive continuous improvement and standardisation. Actively participate in multidisciplinary reviews and maintain high quality standards in a fast‑growing, family‑valued environment. **Key Responsibilities** - Create and validate 2‑D/3‑D CAD drawings using SolidWorks or Rhino. - Perform mechanical, electrical, and structural sizing in accordance with client needs and applicable standards. - Compile full technical documentation (plans, BOMs, calculation notes, specifications). - Attend design reviews with production teams and provide technical oversight during project execution. - Participate in sea‑trial operations for vessels designed. - Contribute to product and process standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives. **Required Skills** - Proficient in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, Catia, or equivalent). - Strong understanding of material strength, marine‑environment constraints (impact, vibration, watertightness). - Ability to develop and interpret engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications. - Excellent teamwork, analytical thinking, and attention to detail. - Operational technical English (reading, writing, speaking). **Required Education & Certifications** - Master’s level (Bac+5) in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Mechatronics. - Minimum 2–3 years of design experience in naval, defense, or complex industrial sectors preferred.
