Public Relations Intern – Spring 2026
**Role Summary**
Hands‑on support across media and influencer relations, event execution, content creation, and client account management within a full-service PR and marketing agency. Interns contribute to award‑winning campaigns for global brands, gaining exposure to crisis management, social strategy, and creative briefing.
**Expectations**
- Work 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, during the Spring 2026 internship period.
- Actively participate in account teams, brainstorming sessions, and client deliverables.
- Deliver timely, high‑quality research, writing, and project support.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Monitor and report on media coverage, identify trends, and flag potential risks.
- Maintain and update media and influencer contact lists with new outlets and angles.
- Draft research reports, social media copy, internal communications, and media materials.
- Assist with event planning: source venues, coordinate vendors, engage media/influencers, manage set‑up and take‑down.
- Develop client briefing documents to guide planners and creative teams.
- Conduct consumer and competitor research to support new business pitches.
- Attend cross‑functional brainstorming with planners, art directors, and copywriters.
- Provide ad‑hoc project management and billing support to account teams.
**Required Skills**
- Strong written communication and basic copywriting for social, internal, and PR materials.
- Research proficiency: media monitoring, competitive and consumer analysis.
- Organizational ability: manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and event logistics.
- Basic understanding of crisis communication principles.
- Proficiency with digital tools (MS Office, Google Workspace, social media platforms).
- Collaborative mindset and ability to take constructive feedback in a fast‑paced agency environment.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Current enrolment or recent completion of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent coursework) in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
- No specific certifications required, though familiarity with PR or digital marketing certifications is a plus.
