Job title: Infrastructure Engineer
Role Summary:
Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise Windows and cloud infrastructure. Provide technical support across core services, manage Azure and AWS environments, and ensure secure, reliable operations through monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Expectations:
- Deliver day‑to‑day operations for Windows servers (physical and virtual).
- Act as a 3rd line support specialist for complex incidents.
- Collaborate with project teams on migrations, resource provisioning, and architecture enhancements.
- Uphold security and compliance standards across on‑prem and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and administer Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, ADFS, DFS).
- Manage Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, GPOs, and group policies.
- Provision, configure, and monitor Azure cloud resources; support Azure networking (NSG, ASG, WAF).
- Respond to system alerts, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation.
- Backup and restore Windows infrastructure using native and third‑party solutions.
- Maintain VMware/Hyper‑V virtual environments and ensure optimal performance.
- Perform network architecture design, firewall configuration, and traffic monitoring.
- Support Microsoft 365 services and applications, including user provisioning and security.
- Document processes, configuration changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and apply best practices.
Required Skills:
- In‑depth knowledge of Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022).
- Proficiency with Azure services, Azure AD Connect, and networking controls (NSG, ASG, WAF).
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 administration and security.
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, DFS, IIS, and Group Policy.
- Competence in virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Hyper‑V).
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
- Familiarity with backup/restore solutions (Veeam, Windows Server Backup).
- 3rd‑line support experience in a production environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Microsoft certifications preferred:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent.
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (optional).
- Additional certifications in networking (CCNA/CCNP) and cloud (AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are advantageous.
