Job Description
**Job Title** Project Engineer – High Tension (H/T) **Role Summary** The Project Engineer is responsible for managing industrial projects from client response to project delivery. They oversee profitability, resource planning, coordination of on‑site teams, supplier selection, and adherence to safety and quality management systems within an industrial 4.0 environment. **Expectations** * Drive client portfolio maintenance and business development through accurate quoting and commercial decisions. * Ensure profitable execution of projects and compliance with QHSSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Security, Environment) standards. * Provide technical direction and support to multidisciplinary teams, selecting appropriate subcontractors and suppliers. * Conduct internal audits, safety inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Draft client proposals, perform cost estimating, and support commercial negotiations. 2. Manage project profitability, track financial metrics, and report to management. 3. Plan and allocate resources, coordinate field teams, and execute project schedules. 4. Liaise with procurement, site supervisors, and stakeholders to launch projects. 5. Monitor progress, adjust workloads, and propose technical optimization. 6. Select and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers in collaboration with Purchasing. 7. Lead or participate in internal and certification audits; enforce safety plans (PPSPS, VOP, Causeries). 8. Maintain compliance with QHSSE systems, implement corrective actions. 9. Collaborate with technical and commercial managers to identify growth opportunities. **Required Skills** * Proven experience in managing industrial or high‑tension electrical projects. * Strong leadership, team coordination, and technical decision‑making abilities. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and client‑service orientation. * Proficiency in project management tools, cost estimating, and scheduling. * Solid understanding of industrial safety regulations and QHSSE processes. * Hands‑on ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and documentation. * Ability to travel frequently and hold a valid driver’s licence (Category B or equivalent). **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent. * Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) or related qualifications is an advantage. * Valid driver's licence required.
