Job title: Head of Digital Marketing
Role Summary: Lead the digital strategy, execution, and optimization across all online platforms to drive member acquisition, engagement, and retention. Serve as the senior advocate for data-driven decision making, digital innovation, and user experience excellence. Oversee a multidisciplinary digital team, manage agency partnerships, and ensure alignment with corporate goals and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, own, and execute the comprehensive digital strategy in partnership with senior stakeholders.
- Champion digital innovation, evaluating new technologies and making recommendations to enhance commercial performance.
- Govern the end-to-end digital ecosystem (websites, apps, CMS) ensuring best-in-class user experience and continuous optimization.
- Drive a data-first culture: collect, analyze, and interpret analytics to provide actionable insights and inform tactical decisions.
- Monitor, report, and benchmark digital KPIs (lead generation, conversion, ROI) through dashboards for executive visibility.
- Lead, coach, and grow a multi-disciplinary digital team; establish high-performance standards and career development pathways.
- Manage the full digital budget, allocating spend to achieve agreed targets and demonstrating tangible ROI.
- Build and maintain agency and technology partner relationships, ensuring delivery on scope, quality, and budget.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory (FCA, OFGEM), and data protection (GDPR, PECR) frameworks across all digital initiatives.
- Communicate insights, strategic recommendations, and product updates effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate as a key senior marketing leader, collaborating with peers (Marketing, Commercial, Product, Publishing) to align on integrated strategies.
Required Skills
- Senior digital leadership experience with a proven record of successful strategy implementation and commercial impact.
- Expertise managing complex digital ecosystems (multiple web properties, apps, analytics).
- Strong knowledge of CMS platforms (EPiServer/Optimizely or equivalent).
- Experience deploying AI/ML solutions for segmentation, personalization, predictive analytics, and ethical AI governance.
- Comprehensive digital marketing mix proficiency (SEO, PPC, CRO, content, social media, email marketing).
- Advanced data analytics skills (GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Yext, etc.) and ability to translate insights into action.
- Budgeting and ROI demonstration skills for large digital spend.
- Excellent leadership, team building, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills across all levels.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Digital marketing certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads, HubSpot, Facebook Blueprint, or equivalent).
- Certifications in data analytics or AI governance (e.g., Google Data Analytics, IBM Data Science, or similar) are advantageous.
