Programme Test Manager – Data Centre Exit / AWS Migration
**Role Summary**
Senior testing leader responsible for defining, planning, and executing the end‑to‑end test strategy for a large‑scale data centre exit programme migrating on‑premise infrastructure and applications to AWS. Ensures quality, stability, and confidence in migration deliverables across multiple workstreams while aligning testing activities with programme milestones.
**Expectations**
- Take full ownership of test strategy, governance, and delivery.
- Quickly assess current landscape and establish a robust testing framework.
- Manage testing risks, dependencies, and environment readiness.
- Collaborate closely with programme, engineering, and cloud migration teams.
- Deliver high‑quality test outcomes within a 6‑month contract.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the overall testing strategy, planning, and execution for the Data Centre Exit programme.
- Oversee end‑to‑end functional, integration, performance, and security testing across infrastructure and application migration streams.
- Define and enforce test governance, frameworks, and quality‑assurance processes.
- Coordinate test environments, data, and tooling to support multiple workstreams.
- Identify, log, and mitigate testing risks and issues; track dependencies.
- Report test progress, metrics, and outcomes to senior programme stakeholders.
- Partner with engineering, cloud, and delivery teams to align testing with migration milestones.
**Required Skills**
- Proven hands‑on experience with large‑scale data‑centre migrations to AWS.
- Strong background in test programme management and test governance.
- Expertise in functional, integration, performance, and security testing of infrastructure and applications.
- Ability to design and implement test frameworks and automation where appropriate.
- Excellent risk and issue management, with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Effective stakeholder communication and collaboration across technical and programme teams.
- Familiarity with migration tools, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud testing environments.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer, ISTQB/Test Management, PMP or PRINCE2.
