Support end‑user hardware and software, manage inventory, and coordinate communications regarding equipment status across all sites. Expectations: Deliver professional, timely service for issuing, upgrading, and decommissioning IT equipment. Maintain accuracy in inventory records and real‑time status updates to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Image and configure laptops, desktops, and mobile devices for users. - Install hardware, software applications, and security updates. - Manage inventory of new and existing equipment. - Support the full lifecycle of IT equipment from deployment to decommissioning. - Coordinate real‑time communications with customers and other services about IT and clinical system status. Job title: IT Server Specialist Role Summary: 12‑month fixed‑term specialist focused on advanced Microsoft 365 administration, migration to a central NHS tenant, and comprehensive server, application, and hardware support, ensuring compliance, cybersecurity, patching, and backup integrity. Expectations: Deliver secure, compliant infrastructure; lead migration and configuration projects; act as escalation point; support critical applications; champion cybersecurity initiatives; maintain backup and patching systems. Key Responsibilities: - Advanced administration of Microsoft 365 services and migration to the NHS central tenant, ensuring NHS standards and policy compliance. - Provide user‑level and server‑level support for critical internal and third‑party applications. - Support networking projects and allocate resources for new systems and technologies. - Champion cybersecurity across the IT infrastructure, including Microsoft Defender and server protection products. - Lead configuration and management of patch deployment platforms (Kace, WSUS, SCCM). - Maintain backup infrastructure and ensure secure, regular backups of all systems. - Serve as the escalation point for 1st and 2nd line technicians, troubleshooting and resolving server‑related incidents. - Deploy or modify key applications as required.
